San Diego Chargers
Based in San Diego, California the Chargers an NFL team founded in 1959 with the colors navy blue, white and gold. Their helmet is blue with a white and yellow lightning bolt on it. Fans also use nicknames such as the "Bolts" and the "Super Chargers" to refer to the team. The Super Chargers (or Bolts) made it to the Super Bowl in the 1994 season.
In the 2004-2005 season, Head Coach Marty Schottenheimer had the distinction of being named NFL Coach Of The Year by the Associated Press. The Bolts hall of famers include wide receiver Lance Alworth, quarterback Dan Fouts, head coach and general manager Sid Gillman, wide receiver Charlie Joiner, offensive lineman Ron Mix and tight end Kellen Winslow.
The Super Chargers home field is the Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego, California.
